A somewhat late start to the season, but at least it was warm and dry. A match with all sorts of firsts: a new opposition, four new players (Jody and Neil who work with Tim and two Aarons from Felbridge), 5 stumpings in an innings and most significantly our first win since July 2008! Aircom chose to bat first and set off at a cracking rate. However once their opener retired on reaching 25 and Mark and Rob had held a couple of good catches, our bowlers started to find things a lot easier, principally as their batsmen kept moving forward, missing wide balls and getting stumped by the excellent Aaron Gee. Consequently, despite the return of their opener at the fall of the ninth wicket we bowled them out for a modest total. Jody gave our chase a good start but he had to retire on 25 and then progress was pegged back by a steady loss of wickets combined with Andy's inability to hit the ball off the square. As a result, what should have been a comfortable chase, became rather tighter than it should have been. None the less the other Aaron saw us home with 2 balls to spare.
