David P reports: We had a good game. As usual we came second, but it was close. We had 9, they had 10 players. We agreed that batsmen would retire on 30 - I didn't really worry about this as I didn't think it would affect us! However both our openers (Terence and Mark) had to retire! And we eventually made 114 with our last 2 batsmen at the wicket. Their innings started well for us with both Terence, Rob and Pete in the wickets and it looked like we might get our first victory. We took all their wickets for ~90ish, but then their captain ( who had earlier retired on 30 ) came back in and laid into Ben and me and they won in the 19th over. Our last hope was when Paul couldn't hold on to a skyer off me on the boundary just before the end. Still, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves!
