A rather grey and damp evening at West Green, but fortunately we only had a couple of light showers. Elekta had kindly arranged 4 "ringers" (including the irrepressible Sandeep) to cover our shortage of players. Our innings started comfortably with Paul G leading the way, but from 46-0 after 8 overs we collapsed to 80 all out in the following 10 overs. This was principally as Elekta had kept back their pair of fast bowlers (including our Nemesis, Josh Rix, from the match in June) and batting suddenly became much harder when they came on. When we took the field, Terrence, Ali and Rocky bowled so well that it looked like we might be able to defend our modest total. But that all changed when Mr Rix took guard and although he sportingly retired once he passed 25, the damage was done and Andy Niven saw them home with 4 balls to spare.
