Elekta made sure of revenge for their previous defeats by thoroughly outplaying us. Robbie and Louis bowled really well at the start of their innings so they were only 24-2 after 8, but having seen off the initial threat, Elekta started to accelerate, initially just by good running. When they started playing big shots, Bernie picked up three quick wickets (including two good outfield catches from Carl and Mathieu) and we hoped they might falter. Not a bit of it! Messers Perrett and Aumata started an assualt which took them from 63-5 after 15 to 132-5 after 20 with Andy's non-turning off breaks being especially popular with the batsmen! Our chase was steady, but their bowling had no weak links and although Jon anchored the innings well, as he has many times before, no one could up the scoring rate to anywhere near the needed level.
