A remarkably sunny evening considering how wet the previous ten days had been. None the less, the field was very wet with a few puddles still visible. We bowled well, with Rob continuing his success as a strike swing bowler and David W making a useful debut in partnership with David P. Our catching was again impressive with the highlight being Mathieu's effort which led to the non-striker giving him the soubriquet "the best French cricketer [he knew]". The target of 76 was more taxing than it might appear due to the slow outfield and losing two wickets from the first two (legal) deliveries didn't help. The middle order managed a steady rebuilding and despite occasional wickets we never needed much more than 4 an over, so Mark and Robbie's modest acceleration was sufficient to see us to the target with 5 balls to spare.
