Responsibilities of Committee Members
Captain
- Providing match ball (normally home games)
- Agreeing match format and local rules with opposition captain
- Losing the toss (traditional)
- Controlling the team on the field (where possible)
- Deciding to call off matches for bad weather etc (in consultation with Secretary and Team Secretary)
- Chairing the club AGM
- Representing the club at the S&SC AGM
- Making sure all the other officers are doing their jobs
Vice-Captain
- Deputising for the Captain when necessary
- Arranging food rota for home games
- Looking after club kit: maintenance, transport to away fixtures and purchase of new kit (in consultation with Captain & Treasurer)
General Secretary*
- Preparing minutes/agenda etc for AGM
- Liaising with S&SC Committee (on non-financial matters)
- Representing the club at the S&SC AGM
Team Secretary*
- Selecting team for each match
- Notifying team of match venue, directions, changes, cancellation etc. (in consultation with Captain and Secretary)
- Maintaining the prlcc e-mail alias
Fixtures Secretary*
- Arranging fixtures and preparing/distributing fixture list
- Confirming fixture with opposition a few days before match
- Contacting opposition if match needs to be called off (in consultation with Captain and Team Secretary)
* Note: The role of General Secretary is normally combined with either the Fixtures or Team Secretary.
Treasurer
- Looking after club funds
- Collecting match fees
- Liaising with S&SC Committee (on financial matters)
Other
- Maintaining the club website
