Paul Gough topped the run-scoring, with exactly 100 runs (at 25), while James Christopher had the highest average (79 runs at 39.5). Andy Yule again topped the bowling figures with 14 wickets (average 14), closely followed by David Parker with 12 (average 11).
Andy thanked Bernie Wright for his continued assistance (e.g. with Nets), and Shirley for scoring for us again.
It was mentioned that some opponents who have regularly let us down (e.g. City House) might be replaced. A possible new team to play is Watsons (suggested by David Walker). It was suggested that we might want to check likely availablity in CRE week (i.e. 16th June) before booking a fixture then.
The positions of President, Captain, Vice Captain, Secretary and Treasurer were elected unoposed. Andy Yule will approach Geoff Khan & Carl Glasse about Team Secretary.
Maintenance of the pitch was raised. It was agreed that something should be done before the start of the season; either we can patch or relay the wicket. Andy Yule will investigate.
There was some enthusiasm for pre-season indoor nets. David Yule will investigate either Oakwood or Edenbridge as possible venues, starting in mid-March (on Sundays?). Andy Yule will ask Bernie Wright about usage of Horley nets during the season.
New sightscreens: Shirley Yule will investigate what the options are. We will also purchase a white ball which may be an alternative solution.
Several members will be at the Sports & Social Club AGM, but all representing other clubs. We need to find 2 people to represent the cricket club.
The meeting closed at 1:15pm.
