Ex-PRL Cricket

For many decades the Philips Research Labs in Redhill had an ethusiastic if not very skillful cricket team. The labs may now have closed, but that's not going to stop the team continuing, so we have become the Ex-Philips Research Labs Cricket Club. Therefore as usual we expect to play at least a dozen mid-week evening matches (20 overs-per-side) against local clubs and companies. Sadly we no longer have a home ground, but we'll hire a local ground as necessary.

We like to feel that we play cricket the way it's meant to be played (i.e. we're not good enough to win regularly, so we just play for fun!). We don't take the games too seriously and things like training or practice are normally limited to chucking a ball around immediately before a match.

We are always looking for new players (talent or previous experience is strictly optional), so if you would like to play, and have at least some tenuous link with Philips please Andy Yule. Alternatively, if you'd just like to turn up and watch (it's normally a fairly amusing display of incompetence), you'd be very welcome.

Please note our statement on liability.
