When Alan Mullally was run out at 6pm on the 21st September, the Fantasy Cricket 2003 competition finally came to an end.
The competition ran for 124 days (from the 21st May to the 21st September), it involved 352 different matches, monitored 515 different players (301 of which could be selected), and the scores were updated a grand total of 36,019 times!
The leadership of the Fantasy league changed 47 times during the competition, which shows that it was a pretty tightly fought competition for most of the summer. However, to everyone's disappointment, the Zindabad XI ended up on top; the fact that the winner also happened to be the league organiser is pure coincidence!
I hope everyone enjoyed playing in the competition as much as I did running it. I look forward to seeing all the teams entered in the 2004 competition!
The English 2006 Cricket season has started, and as usual, the 2006 Fantasy Cricket competition is not far behind!
